About John

John Sacelli, a graduate of Yale University with B.Arts in philosophy, has spent 35 years exploring alternative therapies, spiritual paths, body work, and shamanism. He spent fours years as a Civil Rights Worker in Alabama and Community Organizer in Chicago, then enrolled in Berkeley Free University in California, taking classes in Aikido, Polarity, Gestalt Therapy, Reichian Energetics, Tae Kwon Do, Kundalini Yoga, Deep Tissue Massage, and 'anything that sounded weird, oriental or exotic'. He has worked and studied with gurus, yogis, Zen masters, kahunas, sages, witches and 'medicine people' of all persuasions.

He has hitchhiked through America, Mexico, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe while it was 'behind the Iron Curtain'. He has taken a canoe from Michigan to New Orleans, and a motorcycle across the US, Canada and Mexico.

He has made his living as taxi driver, migrant frarm laborer, writer, editor, massage therapist, commercial fisherman, yoga teacher, astrologer, and is currently a free-lance 'Urban Shaman' in Chicago. He has conducted workshops in Polarity Therapy, Kundalini Yoga, Deep Tissue Massage, Soul Circles, The Dreamtime and Shamanism across North America.

While experiencing a series of Shamanic Visions, he met his totem Lynx (links) who introduced him to a series of interdimensional, alternative and past life adventures, and also to the subject of 'Angelish, the Original Language'. 'Angelish' is an inner logic lying inside ordinary language which reconnects us to the original 'spelling' (spell-casting) of words.

John has spent years tracking down old texts on history, prophecy, mythology and ancient cultures, and also been deeply involved with the Change of Ages as the beginning of an entire new Platonic 'Great Year' (26,000 year precessional cycle). His guides have told him the 'earth changes' forecast in many traditions, which produced the events of the 'Great Flood' and 'Sinking of Atlantis' at an antipodal point 13,000 years back, can be obviated and directed through spiritual intention by connecting through 'Center Self' to 'Center Earth' and 'Center Source', since 'All Center is One with All'. This has brought him to an understanding of the work of Alchemy (Angelish 'All Key Me'), the purpose of which was not to turn lead into gold, but 'led' (controlled by others) into 'goaled' (living in creative partnership with Spirit).

Each one of us enters this life with a mission, a unique and special task we seek to accomplish over the duration of our lives. A purpose which utilizes and tests and pushes us to the edge of our creativity, our compassion, our courage and spirit. When we are 'on task', life opens to us, the air is fresh, each day holds new possibilities. When we 'lose the path', and try to live according to other people's values, fail to take risks, exaggerate or minimize our abilities, blame or attempt to use or control others, become greedy or fearful or lazy - then life appears flat, dull, painful and pointless. Finding our Soul Purpose brings us alive again.

I have been fortunate to have a number of special teachers along the way who have put me back on my path. Taught me to honor the truth, to open my heart, to recognize the gifts of others, to understand 'Original Mind', to reach across the dimensions, to hear the voices of people, animals, totems, devas, spirits. To find my own path, and, in doing so, become part of something greater than myself. It has become my work to share these teachers, these messages, these experiences in encouraging others to find their own unique and creative soul missions. Entering the Dreamtime

Dreams bring us glimpses or aspects of self which waking life may miss. Looking again at a dream can be a powerful door to the hidden dimensions suggested by the dream. Further, learning to 'dream consciously' continues to expand the territory which is being opened to us. Lucid dreaming techniques access both knowledge and power. Shamans and Medicine People through the ages have recognized that life is an ongoing dream, one in which our receptivity to the presence of other dreamers brings rich gifts, but also one in which we can learn to 'shape the course' the dream will take.

Star Logic (Astrology)

The Natal Chart is a skeleton of patterns of influence and harmonics which imprint at the moment we separate from the mother, and begin the path of personal existence. Reading the natal chart can offer deep insights into the soul path chosen by the individual, identifying both 'past life' influences (whether seen literally or metaphorically) and the key transformational tasks posed by the present life. Updated charts (transits, progressions, birthday charts) elucidate where we are at present on the journey, and what tasks, events and opportunities lie in the near future.

Soul Circles

Group work offers the opportunity to get multiple reflections on our own issues and leading edge from the presence of others, but also to expand our sense of possibilities by receiving the gifts which others bestow. Meditation in a group allows the focus to begin with the Self, move to the Soul, and finally on to the Group Soul - the collective purpose of the group as a whole. When a group is functioning 'on all cylinders', it becomes clear that each person there is a reflection of the issues of each other person, and that together the 'Group Soul' honors the uniquenss of each person, but allows us to experience participation in something transcendant.

Group and workshop fees are variable and negotiable. Individual work is by agreement, based on economic circumstances, satisfaction of the participant, and cost of comparable services. In other words, you write your own check, though guidelines are offered if asked.
